Who’s Your Caddyshack
Delicious…
As you can see–19 years later–somebody apparently thought Caddyshack II was a good idea. That very same person yelled from the top of the mountains, “wait! I also enjoyed the movie Soul Plane! I have a fantastic idea!”
Thus, Who’s Your Caddy was surely born.

Okay, I know I’m a little late on this… (I’ve been busy trying to get a some variation of the Daily Del.icio.us plug in working so I can share my links.)
Gizmodo is sponsoring a month long boycott of the Recording Industry Association of America. Quite frankly, every single person should be taking part in this.
I mean, it should be pretty easy to hop on board. A boycott is practically made for lazy people. All you have to do is not do something. Hell, I’ve been not doing things for years! (That includes buying albums released by RIAA members.) So, I don’t want to hear any whining.
Why?
If you’re unfamiliar with why people hate the RIAA so strongly or why this boycott is a necessary, look no further then the overview below.
- Underpaying and taking advantage of the very artists its member companies represent.
- Fixing prices on their products.
- Going lawsuit-crazy all over the faces of its own consumers for unnecessarily crazy amounts of money.
- Invading personal privacy and compromising or damaging personal property in the name of enforcing copyright.
- Blaming poor financial trends on unfounded digital piracy claims.
- Making governments support RIAA member company’s dying business models with a tax on every blank CD or piece of recordable media their citizens buy.
That’s just the start of it all. Dig around and you’ll find issues dealing with mix tapes, pre-litigation, and all kind of really bad legislation that the RIAA has helped to draft.
How?
Go to RIAA Radar if you want a list of what not to buy. And, If you live in a country like Canada, I guess you should also avoid buying blank CDs.
So, allow yourself to be lazy for once, don’t do anything, don’t go out and buy that CD you wanted; all crippled with Digital Rights Management software. And, if you really feel the need to get up and do something, go donate to a foundation like the EFF.
Whatever you do, do it knowing that we as consumers have a responsibility to correct the current situation.

The commercials started airing on the local Time Warner channels Monday. Version 2 was the first to air; Version 1 will later be rotated into circulation if I understand correctly.
Special thanks to the people at Time Warner who were a great help in managing the production aspects.
